Robert Singer - Managing Director

Mr. Singer has more than 22 years of law firm administration experience. Before joining De Novo Legal, Mr. Singer served as the Executive Director of Weil Gotshal & Manges. Prior to serving as Executive Director of Weil Gotshal & Manges, Mr. Singer was Director of Finance at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. During his legal industry career spanning back to 1990, Mr. Singer has held key leadership and management positions within these two major New York law firms.


Michael McDonald - Senior Vice President

Mr. McDonald has over 19 years of law firm technology experience, beginning his career as the IT Director for the law firm Friedman & Brock, P.C. in Atlanta. Before joining De Novo Legal, Mr. McDonald was the eastern region Business Development Manager for Williams Lea, a global Business Process Outsourcing company serving law firms and corporations. Mr. McDonald began his legal technology career in 1992 by designing in house systems to scan and OCR documents and create litigation databases, many years before Electronic Discovery became mainstream.

 

Brad Scott - Senior Vice President

Formerly the Chief Legal Talent Officer at WilmerHale and Executive Director at Weil and HellerEhrman, Mr. Scott is an experienced executive with over ten years of law firm human capital and business management experience. Prior to entering the legal industry over a decade ago, Mr. Scott had an internal consulting role as an executive at IBM. While at IBM, he was part of a team responsible for global executive leadership and organizational development education and training, and he directed the individual coaching of IBM’s top 250 executives.


Edward Burke - Senior Vice President


Mr. Burke is an attorney with substantial litigation experience at Weil and Brobeck. He oversees the De Novo document review teams and works closely with our clients to ensure the implementation and execution of consistent and defensible discovery strategies, including project management. At Weil, Mr. Burke was a member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Group. He served as Joint Liaison Defense Counsel on data/electronic discovery issues in a six-year MDL RICO conspiracy class action brought by all US doctors against major healthcare companies. Weil’s client prevailed on summary judgment. Mr. Burke also played a lead role in the first trade secrets and copyright actions challenging the unlawful distribution of DVD encryption codes on the Internet, as well as in major cases for clients such as Reuters, Walmart and H&R Block. At Brobeck, Mr. Burke had substantial experience in the firm’s products liability, insurance and appellate groups. He received a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was Chairman of the Moot Court Board. He is also an author and speaker on the outsourcing of litigation support services.
